A warm WELCOME to our beloved Clients, guests, friends, relatives, and dedicated executives and employees of Oneworld Alliance and SFM Express Logistics Corporation! I thank all of you for taking the time to attend this special occasion. It is with immense pride and gratitude that you are able join us tonight to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Wow! Celebrating a 20th-year anniversary is a big achievement in itself. And we are all thankful to our dear God who guided us along the way. From the day we started until today, the company has had a long and memorable journey. In all these years, we experienced successes and failures, triumphs and challenges, everything. But one thing that we never did was to “give up.” It is our determination na “kaya natin ito,” founded with our expectant faith in God, the willingness to help each other, our passion for excellence, and lots and lots of prayers. These are the factors that brought us where we are now. Yes! Each step is always founded with our drive to give higher level of service to our Clients and the determination to have a very High Performance Organization (or HPO) – the passion to always make sure that our Clients are happy, our Employees are happy and our Stockholders are happy! We always treat everyone in Oneworld and SFM as a member of our family. In all my hiring interviews, I will always ask about the details of the applicant’s family, how he or she will spend his or her weekend, and how active they are in going to Church. All these questions are intended for me to know if the applicant can be a good addition to our corporate family. And for us to know how we can have an impact to their lives. In a family, we take care of each other’s well being and keep a very good relationship. In Oneworld, we all take care of each other, so altogether, we can make our dreams come true. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, I sincerely thank the following: Firstly, to our valued Clients. We sincerely thank you for the trust and confidence you have given to Oneworld. We want to assure each one of you that we will continue our commitment to give the highest level of service. And in the years to come, we will make sure that we continue to address the 3 most important factors you consider in choosing your service providers – (1) Reliability, (2) Speed, and (3) Cost efficiency. Being in the Top 5 in Customs Clearance since 2015 or in the past 9 years, we are being trusted not just by the Bureau of Customs and by the Government Agencies we deal with but most of all by our Clients, many of whom are with us for more than a decade already. Being RELIABLE and TRUSTWORTHY in our industry is very important. On the second factor - the SPEED. Since the beginning, we are very proud that if all your documents are complete and given to us on time, we can process and complete your shipments in just 2 days compared to the industry standard of 5 days. And with our speed, your logistics costs will always be kept at reasonable levels. Oneworld and SFM will always be your most reliable, fast and cost efficient service provider. Secondly, to our current and former employees, Thank you for the remarkable years of being part of our corporate journey! We were together in our journey of excellence, where we transformed challenges into opportunities and dreams into reality. We shall stay true to our core values of integrity, excellence, and we will continue our passion to give the highest level of service to our Clients. Rest assured that we will always take care of you and your families. Right now, you are receiving the highest possible benefit available in our industry. Based in our 2022 Audited Financial Statements, our Salaries and Benefits reached 72% of our OPEX. Imagine, 72%. It’s a lot higher than the conventional limits of Salaries & Employee Benefits of only 40% of OPEX in our industry. No wonder, our non-contributory Retirement Fund is now almost P30Million even if we are just a 20 year company. And tonight, we will be giving our loyal employees Cash Awards that will surely make all of you and your families happy. Thirdly, to our Service Providers – Shipping and Airline Agents, our forwarding / consolidation Agents, our Truckers, our Suppliers, our Bankers, our advisers and Consultants, your invaluable support allowed us to operate efficiently and grow in the past 20 years. Rest assured that we will continue to work hand in hand with you so we will grow together in the years to come. I also would like to thank the other Shareholders of the Company for being totally supportive in all my decisions and corporate actions. Rest assured that I will always give my best to continue to grow the company in the years to come. At this point, I would like to call my wife, Ms Marilyn Odit, the first president of Oneworld and currently the Vice President for Finance. And also her sister Ms Emalyn Francisco, our VP for Sales and Operations. The good tandem of the two sisters allowed Oneworld to survive especially during the various challenges we experienced in the first 12 years of our operations. Both of you worked so hard and sacrificed so much for Oneworld. The last challenge that you encountered was the case filed against us by Oneworld Alliance LLC – a $100B US Based Airline Alliance Company for alleged name infringement. They wanted Oneworld to be closed in 15 days after they filed their complaint. That case forced me to assume the Presidency of the Company and face the case head on. Of course, with God’s help, we ended up with an amicable settlement and we were allowed to continue to use our Company Name and Brand. And God rewarded all our efforts. With the tandem of the 3 of us – Ms Marilyn, Ms Emalyn and myself, Oneworld grew 10 times in the past 8 years – from P20 Million when I assumed the Presidency in 2015 to P277 Million NAV as of last year. It’s almost a miracle. But we all know that it all happen because of the help of God. God truly guided us in the past years and in the years to come. For without Him, we can do nothing.
